AFFORDABLE AND FREE PREMISES FOR ASSOCIATIONS

This page gives you ideas on how to find cheap and free premises for associations and other communities.

City of Espoo / free and paid 

  • The City of Espoo website contains information on the spaces that can be rented by residents. Some spaces are booked through the Varaamo service. Some spaces must be reserved at the Iso Omena service market, Tapiola Library or Sello Library.

To book the following facilities, please contact the venue directly or their booking system:  

  • Residential parks 
  • community spaces 
  • kindergartens  
  • performance and rehearsal spaces 
  • libraries 
  • school premises  
  • sports facilities 
  • youth facilities 
  • campsites  
  • health stations.

City of Helsinki / free and paid 

  • The City of Helsinki has spaces that can be reserved for short periods of time. Spaces are booked through the Varaamo Service. Some spaces are free of charge. A small fee is charged for some spaces.  

In the Varaamo service you can book, for example, 

  • library spaces, such as group work spaces and meeting rooms 
  • community spaces 
  • parks.

  • The City of Helsinki also rents premises for longer periods.  
  • the City of Helsinki rents out premises for schools and educational institutions for evenings and weekends. Reservations are made electronically in the Timmi service.

  • Youth centres rent their premises to associations when there are no other activities on the premises. The youth centres’ own websites have instructions on how to rent premises.
